Ciara hit up the Los Angeles premiere of Transformers yesterday dressed down in some tie dyed jeans and a white tank top. From the front she looked okay but her pink bra was showing underneath her arm when she would stand to the side to take pics. Not sure if she was just on “chill” mode but it just was not a good look. Others in attendence were LaLaVasquez, Tyrese, Kim Kardasian, Reggie Bush and Anthony Anderson.

The Chrihanna case has finally come to an end with Chris having to complete 180 days of community service and 5 years probation in Virginia. Chris will have to report to California every three months for updates. Chris plead guilty to one count of felony assault on Rihanna in court today. In addition to his probation and community service Chris must enroll in a domestic violence class. (SOURCE)
Ludacris recently introduced the world to his new liquor “Conjure Congnac” via Twitter, which will be hitting the stores in October 2009. Even though I am not a big alcohol drinker I would definitely give it a taste…just a taste.
It has been a long hiatus from me but, by request, I have decided to resume this blog. I think I grew tired of seeing the same posts on every entertainment gossip blog. There was no originality! Therefore I started to blog more on my personal blog at www.nishayvette.com where I could talk about a variety of things from my life, entertainment, relationships and MY LOVE OF MUSIC!!!! I have seen many postings on the current situation with Chris Brown and Rihanna and it is very unfortunate that their relationship has hit a point where violence had to occur. Domestic Violence/Battery is a serious crime and most courts do not take the charge very lightly. I really think that Chris and Rihanna were too young to be so caught up in one another. When you are in the public eye like Rihanna and Chris then you basically set yourself up for people to be in your business and because they are so young I am sure the gossip and rumors where putting a strain on their relationship, be true or not. I think that Beyonce and Jay-z did a pretty good job at keeping their relationship “personal”, however, they are much older than Chris and Rihanna and can handle a little more than the young couple could. Some are speculating that Chris was upset with Rihanna for giving him Herpes..I highly doubt that. I just think that they tried to hard to make something work for the sake of publicity. Whatever the case may be, she was hurt and he is to blame and that is something that they both have to live with for the rest of their lives. Hopefully this incident will prove to be an example for young men and women everywhere. Words of Wisdom: If someone is upsetting you to the point that you might want to hurt them then they are probably not worth your time.
Simone Battle is an upcoming actress and singer. She starred in a few episodes of “Everybody Hates Chris” and now she is trying to make a name is the music industry as well. I first noticed her when my daughter was on Simone’s Myspace page and I just started dancing to her song “Material Girl”. I would put her in the category with Teyana Taylor and Santogold because of her unique style and crazy lyrics…she is definitely a “colorful” and fun chick.
In the midst of his ridiculous beefs he intentionally stirs up for publicity, 50 Cent wants to start a men’s cosmetic line…..yes, you heard me correctly! The line will include health supplements, night creams and moisturizers. Now there is nothing wrong with a guy who cares about his appearance and health but here’s someone trying to act like he is hardcore to the bone then he goes home and gives himself a facial, manicure and pedicure….I’m just saying!

The Hip Hop Summit Inaugural Ball was held on January 19th and was attended by A-listers in DC to celebrate the Inauguration of Mr. Barack Obama. In attendence was Ashanti, TI, Don King and many others. I was priviledged to meet Ben Chavis, head of the Hip Hop Summit, in 2007 while I was in NYC for a entertainment seminar. Ben is such a cool and down to earth person who I can email to this day and get a response back from him. I really support him in his mission to keep Hip Hop alive and well. Check out pics below:
Yesterday was a monumental day in the history of the United States. Our 44th president, Mr. Barack Obama, was sworn into office and what an experience to be able to witness a historical moment like that. Although I was not in DC, I took the day off work to watch the entire program on Fox News. Check out pics of our new President and his family from yesterday’s events.
RnB singer Mya has vowed to give up meat and become a vegetarian for 6 months as part of her new year resolution. The singer stated on her myspace page:

I’ve had some pretty strict resolutions for the last 2 years and have decided to challenge my self discipline once again. For a girl that loves chicken, steak, and even chitlins once a year, I’ve decided to put myself up to the ultimate test: being a vegetarian for six months in 2009. This will by far be the hardest of them all. I may even go an entire year if it’s not too painful. Wish me luck… I’m gonna need it. Now what are your resolutions?
Trust me I went through this period when I was about 16 and I gave up meat for a whole year. It wasn’t that I was against the killing of animals and that but more so that I just became turned off by the look and smell of meat. I know…. call me weird but my food intake consisted of Morning Star burgers and veggies. I eventually woke up one day to the smell of some fresh bacon cooking and that was that!!! LOL!!
Jill Scott and her fiancee, Lil John Roberts, are expecting their first child in April. Jill Scott was looking to relocate to Atlanta about 6 months ago so it might be set in stone now that she is with child. Although there is no wedding date set for the couple, I am sure that Jill and Lil John Roberts are excited about their future together along with the new baby.
Monica, Bobby Valentino and Mario are amongst the list of celebrities that will be featured on the new BET prank show “Played by Fame”. The series will pair up the celebrities with one of their fans which is supposed to be a dream come true but quickly turns into a day full of pranks put together by the celebrities themselves. “Played By Fame” airs on Friday, January 30th at 1o pm.
I am sure you all have heard of Ray J out and about shooting for his upcoming reality show. Apparantly Brandy’s brother has been feeling a little lonely and was searching for a chick to be by his side. The new series will air on VH1 and is titled “For the Love of Ray J”….how fitting!! The show features an array of females vying for Ray J’s attention in order to become the last woman standing. The show will air on February 2nd at 10pm EST. I attended high school with one of the girls so I will definitely be checkin this one out!!! Hey now that “Real Chance of Love” is over I need something to watch…LOL!
Many celebrities were out yesterday to attend the premiere of “Notorious” at the AMC Lincoln Theater in NYC….. the only one missing from the event was the REAL B.I.G. In the building was Faith Evans, Jay-Z and Beyonce, Diddy, Nas, Ciara, Fabolous, Qtip, Voletta Wallace and countless others. Of course, Lil Kim didn’t show her face after she tired to blast Biggie’’s mother and Faith Evans during a recent interview with Hip Hop Weekly. I am sure she is not too please about Faith letting the world know how many times Faith kicked her a~~ in Faith’s new book…wait Kim states that it’s really from how she felt she was portrayed in the movie. I’m sure they they were trying to do the best they could to make the situation better than it really was just for you Lil Kim…smh.
Apparently, Ms. Rihanna was told to tone her wardrobe down when she performs in Malaysia next month. The government in Malaysia has guidelines that say all female performers must be completely covered from their shoulders to their knees. I guess no booty shorts for Rihanna this go round.
It looks like Souljah Boy will be adding another title under his name as he becomes animated in his new cartoon called “Souljah Boy Tell’em: The Animated Series” via the world wide web later this month. The cartoon will follow Souljah Boy’s cartoon character who is in the midst of his rapping career only to be forced to attend high school. Not being a hater but when is this “fad” going to end!!! Unless he plans on ending his career soon he needs to think of revamping his image in the near future. I know he is still young but who wants to have a SOULJAH BOY image at 25 and 30!!!
T.I., Young Jeezy and LL Cool J are on board to attend the Hip Hop Inaugural Ball taking place in Washington DC on January 19th. The Inaugural ball will be there to celebrate the inauguration of President elect Barack Obama. It seems like everyone will be in DC to celebrate at this history making event….except for me. I was all set to go then my phobia kicked in of being around all those damn people. Needless to say I am always thinking of panic situations so I quickly x’d that trip. Although, I am sure it will be a great experience. For all of you who will be attending, celebrate enough for me as I will be watchin it from the comfort of my bedroom.
